THIS IS WHAT A ROCK SHOW SHOULD BE
There's something about live music...
Every moment was over-the-top, a sonic spectacle..just the way I like it!
If you've never listened to Muse....listen to Muse! These guys from Southern England were amazing at Pepsi Center Saturday night in Denver. They work so hard to sell every song and it pays off. They are master musicians, wonderful songwriters and consummate performers.
Singer/guitarist/pianist Matt Bellamy is as good as just about anyone out there....at all three of those!
Songs that I thought were pretty good on the albums are unbelievably good live. They explode. When these guys play live just about every song is epic and anthemic. There were a couple of quieter moments..because everyone needed a break.
So Muse..."Take A Bow"..you earned it. If you've never heard them, get some Muse. I recommend "Absolution" as a good place to start. If you're well past your 20's and 30's (like me) and you still love your old stuff from the 70's (like me), you may find it hard to figure out what newer music would be good to try.....try Muse. You'll hear how much they're influenced by a lot of those old bands you still like. I've helped convert about 10 friends about my age to pretty serious Muse fans in the last few years.
Once you have some Muse music and you've grown to like it (and you will) figure out a way to see them in concert for a show you'll never forget.
There's something about live music!
We'll talk again soon
