A Good Workout For A Good Cause
How are your legs?
Do you think you can ride a stationary bike for an hour? I think you can. Here's your chance. Just go to Gold's Gym on Saturday and you can....give it a spin. The gym at Union and Briargate Blvd. is hosting its annual spin-a-thon to raise money for the American Diabetes Association.
It's a chance to burn some calories and raise some money. You just need at least 25 dollars worth of donations, and you don't need to be a member of Golds...but who knows, if you like it, maybe you'll join and start a program and change your life! In the meantime you might at least change some other lives by rasing money for ADA. Here's a picture or two from the spin-a-thon last year...that's me on the right side of the first one. Shannon Brinias was there last year...she'll be back this year too.

Weekend Anchor David Nancarrow will join us along with Morning Anchor Stacia Naquin and Executive Producer Mark Lammers. I'm working on getting some others out there too.

Hundreds of thousands of patients rigth here in Colorado have diabetes. Thousands more are diagnosed every year..and there is no cure. There will never be a cure without events like this one to raise money for research.
Here are some facts and figures from the ADA's own website. Take a minute to look at this. The scope of this problem is staggering, and it's growing as it never has before.
