A last chance to see an American classic right here in Colorado Springs

Final Weekend For An Arthur Miller Classic

They pitch the play as a "A neighborhood family, a shocking secret."  We can see it all unfold this weekend on stage at the Fine Arts Center.  I had a chance to talk today on 11 News at 4 with Alan Osburn.  He directed this production and he says it's been a real joy to work with the cast on a great piece of American literature.  Click on the video link below to watch that segment.

According to a news release from the Fine Arts center Theatre Company, "All My Sons"  is the story of Joe Keller, a man "who may have supplied World War II fighter planes with defective engines, leading to the deaths of innocent pilots - a crime for which his business partner took the fall.  One of Keller's own sons, a fighter pilot himself, is thought to have been killed in action."

The plot unfolds from there, the family, apparently unravels from there.  I've not seen it yet..though I love "The Crucible" and especially "Death Of A Salesman" by Miller.  I'm looking forward to seeing it because it sounds like an intriguing tale, told by professional players right here in our own town...good theatre without driving to Denver.

Here are a few shots of the cast:

I'm also looking forward to seeing it because of one cast member in particular.  There's a little boy in the play, he lives in the Keller's neighborhood.  Bert is played by 9-year-old Evan Lennon..who happens to be my nephew!   I remember watching him prep for the audition and talking to him when he was so excited because he got the role. Director Alan Osburn says he's doing a great job.  In my family we're all very proud of Evan!  Here he is on stage.

For tickets go to and click on "find it" .  There are performances Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon.

So if you get a chance...go see "All My Sons"..and one of my nephews!

Break a leg Evan!

We'll talk again soon.
