A TIP OF THE HAT TO THE CREAM OF THE CROP
I had a chance to watch hundreds of talented kids do what they do today, and it made me happy. We hear a lot of negative things about kids. Here's something positive.
The kids in the Colorado Springs Children's Chorale put on their annual Christmas concert at the Pikes Peak Center. They've been working on this for months and it showed. From 7-year-olds to 18-year-olds, what had to be close to 150 young singers filled the stage with their presence, then filled the air with their music. it was great....classical pieces, familiar oldies, newer Christmas pieces, they did it all and they did it all well.
Joining in, members of the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony - who had their own sellout show last night - and the Ballet Society Of Colorado Springs - who added their own flair to the festivities. This was a spectacular show from start to finish.
We often hear about talented kids who excel on the sports field, as well we should. Let's not forget about the other kids who do other things and also work very hard to succeed. Today I saw, and heard, the evidence of that hard work.
So take a bow kids....you deserve it.
We'll talk again soon.
