THE MANIC MAYHEM OF MCFLY BACK IS BACK ON THE "MY"

The voice, the madness, the all-out energy.  George Mcfly is old school DJ in the new media, and he's back on the Southern Colorado airwaves.

Do not adjust your tuner, My 99.9 recently got a little louder in the afternoons, and I mean that in a good way!

There's nothing subtle about George Mcfly.  He was gone for about a year, he's been back for about two-a-half months and he's thrilled. George told me he missed his So. Co. listeners and I know we missed him.

When I first started at KKTV we entered our current agreement with Clear Channel stations to provide news and weather updates all day long.  Back then there was more interaction between us and the radio folks and I was paired with George. He did some crazy stuff with me as the straight man and it was a lot of fun.  George is all about the "bits" between the music, and so guitar in hand, tongue in cheek, he's a master.

Now he's back on the air, 3pm  to 7pm  weekdays at My 99.9.  George told me to remind all of you to call him any time during his shift on the studio line, 785-9999.  Don't expect any conversation with George to be a normal conversation in any way...and I mean THAT in a good way.

George and I have become friends in the last few years, we both love music and we both play guitar, and we're both OK at it.  George has been to my house a couple of times to play guitar and it's a good time.  We'll have to do it again soon.

In the meantime check out my 99.9 any time, but especially when George is on the air. You can't go wrong with a guy who lifted his nom-de-tunes from an 80's movie character.  At least he didn't call himself Ferris Bueller or Conan The Barbarian...although the latter might not be too far off...and I mean that in a good way.

Keep up the good work George, we'll be listening.

We'll talk again soon.

Don
