Union Workers Credit Services ... Again! (Betty Sexton)

They're tempting you to make some holiday purchases... using their card. But this one smells like a rat and rings a big, red warning bell. In fact, the very first Betty's Buzz I wrote was about this Texas company and this very offer!

They're tempting you to make some holiday purchases... using their card. But this one smells like a rat and rings a big, red warning bell.

In fact, the very first Betty's Buzz I wrote was about this Texas company and this very offer!

The letter from Union Workers Credit Services congratulates you for being pre-approved for an exclusive platinum card. It reportedly comes with a $10,000 credit limit and the APR...just 5%. What could be better!

Well, a little digging shows it's not a credit card at all. If you pay $37 for the card, you'll get a piece of paper. (Where's the platinum?)

Then, get this!  The paper card can only be used to buy merchandise from the company's catalog. Big Deal!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!

Thanks again to Dr. Warren Layfield. He received the offer the first time ... and passed it on to me.  Now he's let me know again.. the company hasn't stopped mailing out offers.

The good news... we're all communicating and connecting via the web... and spreading the word.

At last check, 477 people had commented on this very offer under Betty's Buzz at kktv.com and thousands more had read it!

Thanks for all your comments... and thanks also for staying in the loop and helping us help others.

Remember, if you get any interesting offers... send them to me. I'll be happy to check them out.
