Beware of Super Bowl Steals (Betty Sexton)

In less than two weeks the New England Patriots and the New York Giants will compete in Super Bowl 46. A lot of folks are already buying team jerseys or even tickets, but beware!

In less than two weeks the New England Patriots and the New York Giants will compete in Super Bowl 46.

Before the ball is snapped the Better Business Bureau is warning football fans to look out for knock-offs and counterfeit tickets.

The BBB says counterfeit team jerseys and memorabilia are the same as stolen goods. That's because crooks steal the teams' names and logos without paying them a cent. They put all the money in their own pockets.

Buying knock-offs aren't a good investment because they're cheaply made and aren't the same quality as the real thing.

The BBB says tickets are the biggest rip off. Right now, you can find thousands for sale on Craigslist and on Ebay. Your best bet if you have to be there... going through Ticketmaster or using a site like Stub Hub where the tickets are guaranteed to be authentic.

Bottom line you want to enjoy the game, not get scammed!
