No doubt about it. The Apple iPhone 4 is hot, hot, hot!
All you had to do was see the multitudes who camped out so they could be among the first to get their hands on the latest, slickest creation.
But soon afterwards, many reported problems with dropped calls. Now the non-profit consumer group, Consumer Reports says it's recommending that people stay away from the iPhone 4 till Apple fixes the design flaw.
Consumer Reports tested the iPhone 4 in a signal-proof room and confirmed Apple indeed has a problem. Testers says signal strength drops significantly when a user puts his finger or hand on the gap in the antenna that wraps around the phone. Testers say it's the reason for lots of dropped calls.
Apple says gripping any mobile phone in certain ways can reduce signal strength. But Consumer Reports disagrees. Testers say they haven't found this problem with any other phone, including earlier iPhones.
So Taylor, let's be a smart consumer and shop around... or wait till Apple comes up with a fix.
