Thanks to Heather Zemke of Colorado Springs for letting me know about this... so I could pass it along to you. She was selling a pop-up camper and workout equipment on craigslist and received the same strange email for both items.
Someone claimed to be interested in her goods and asked her to click on a video link. The reason? So the prospective buyer could make sure "it was the same one he was looking for... and he couldn't afford to make another mistake."
Heather smelled a rat and she was right. Others who have opened such links have been hit with a massive computer virus. craigslist may be on the best garage sale on the planet, but be careful not to confuse a potential buyer with a hacker.
