If tax season had you cleaning out your office and piling up receipts, go one step further. Gather together old documents, box them up, and save them for Friday, May 7th!
Letter Rip is just around the corner. Thanks to KKTV, the Better Business Bureau, and Mobile Record Shredders you have an opportunity to dump out-dated records and receipts safely and easily... and it's all free!
Bring your items to the parking lot of First Baptist Church of Southern Colorado at 317 East Kiowa, at the corner of Kiowa and Wahsatch between 10 am and 2 pm.
Remember, it's a good idea to keep a copy of your tax returns, but generally, you don't need the supporting documents three years after you filed... and seven years if you are self-employed. I'm told that's about how long the IRS has to audit your return.
Letter Rip will handle five boxes per person. We also ask you to bring one non-perishable food item per box to donate to Care and Share, the local food pantry.
We can't accept plastic, cardboard, hardbound documents, newspapers, magazines, nor files more than ½” thick.
Liberate yourself! Do a little spring cleaning and join the fun on the 7th!
