Thanks to Linda Gimbel of Colorado Springs. She asked me to check out a work-from-home email she received. It's supposedly from Robert Steve with Honeywell International. But Honeywell says it's fraudulent.
The email uses the correct Honeywell address in Morristown, New Jersey, but that's about all that's accurate. Honeywell says it's aware this email is circulating and it's warning folks to steer clear and not respond to it.
The crooks claim they're looking for part-time and full-time workers who are willing to work from their computers at home and earn $700 to $2,000 a week. If you're interested you're asked to fill out an application, supplying all kinds of personal information.
I'm told the email doesn't originate from New Jersey, but from Nigeria. Honeywell's website lists all of its openings worldwide. If you're ever in doubt, do a little homework or call me. You've worked too hard to earn a good name, don't hand it over to a bad guy!
