Now more than ever it pays to be a smart and skeptical consumer... especially if you're looking for a job. That's because the crooks don't care if they're preying on someone who's employed or another who's out of work.

Thanks so much to Barbara of Colorado Springs who's out there pounding the pavement, looking for a job. She says she's found a majority of those posting jobs for free, posing as employers... are really scam artists.

Barbara keep your chin up and thanks for reminding us... that no matter the economic times... the crooks are hard at work. Many will ask for personal information, under the guise of setting up an interview with you.

Just remember, no legitimate employer asks for personal details upfront. If you're suspicious about a job posting, do research before responding to it.

If the job title is vague and a specific location isn't mentioned, that's a red flag. If the job sounds very attractive, promising nice perks and high pay... think twice.

Another dead giveaway is being directed to a different website where you're asked to unload your personal information. Don't do it.

If you have questions and doubts, remember... that's the voice of common sense telling you to tread carefully. If you'd like, email or call me... and I'll be more than happy to check out a posting for you.

Hey everyone out there looking for a job. There is a company that is hiring people here in Colorado Springs and not paying there people. Their paychecks have either not cleared the bank or if deposited bounce. And when the employees try to get compensation for time worked. New employees are told that the old employees were just setting around. Not doing their jobs. And having to wait for days to get their paychecks only to find out they are not worth the paper they are written on. This company is Melt in the Chapel Hills Mall. And the Department of Labor doesnt care and is not helping these poor women get what is owed to them. They will tell you to call Chaise, who by the way hasnt been paid for 3 months. And from what I have found out that about 40 to 50 people are in the same boat with this Company. We need help bringing this to light and get all of these people who are scam artists out of our great City and Out of Buisness in Colorado...I would love to see someones help on this...

I see so often the googel profit adds on website, watch out for that, they offer you easy to make money online. You buy the starter software and all of a sudden companies you never gave permission charging your account you never gave your information to them or had a service agreement. Only solution closer all your bankaccounts to get them off not fraudently charging your bank account. watch out!
