It was only a matter of hours before the El Paso County Health Department closed its H1N1 vaccination clinic at New Life Church on Friday.
All 1800 H1N1 vaccination doses at the Colorado Springs clinic were accounted for, as of 10:00 a.m.
People started lining up at 6 a.m. outside New Life Church hoping to get an H1N1 vaccine.
"It's very important. We want to do all we can to be protected and stay health this winter and I'm diabetic, so I really need it," said Ann Jackson and Kathy Cromer while they were waiting in line for the vaccine.
Originally, there was only going to be 1,500 doses available, but there were 300 left over from 3,000 at the clinic held on Wednesday at Coronado High School in Colorado Springs, so the extra went to those in line at today's clinic.
"We only had 1800 doses. We wished we had 5,000, but we don't," said El Paso County Health Director Kandi Buckland.
Pastor Brady Boyd says it was a privilege to have the health department use New Life Church as the venue.
"We look for chances to serve the city. This is a great opportunity," said Pastor Brady Boyd.
