For seven weeks now, we've been talking about the H1N1 virus in what's going around. And it's still out there. This week, Dr. Banjoko with Acute Medical Specialists in Pueblo is seeing it.
Here's a look at the symptoms: Dr. Banjoko says a fever of more than 100, cough, sore throat, chills, fatigue and muscle pain. These symptoms can last up to two weeks.
If you are diagnosed with H1N1, here's what you must do: stay home until 24-hours after your symptoms have resolved. Get lots of fluids, rest and Dr. Banjoko says wear a mask to keep from spreading it. And as always, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and wash your hands.
But H1N1 is not going around every doctor's office. In fact, Dr. Steven Reich, Colorado Springs Health Partners has been reporting it for several weeks. But now he says it has disappeared in his office. He's in the southwest part of town. So we'll wait and see if that means this virus is on its way out.
