An up-coming H1N1 vaccine clinic in Pueblo is off, and another one scheduled for next week is in question.

The City-County Health Department in Pueblo will not hold a clinic that was scheduled for Tuesday, October 27.

Representatives report a shipment of vaccine has not arrived.

A second event, scheduled for Saturday, October 31 is now in pending status.

Officials hope to know by Monday if Saturday's clinic will go on as planned.

At least Pueblo has had 2 clinics up to date. I was just on the Colorado Adult Immunization Clinic website, and found out that there are no clinics scheduled for El Paso County at all. I'm wondering how there can be several clinics for Denver, Broomfield, Brighton, Littleton, Aurora all of the surrounding Colorado Cities, and not one for Colorado Springs. What's the problem here? Are the residents of Colorado Springs less deserving of an opportunity to recieve this vaccine? I have a three year old and there is not a single clinic that I can take her to. Is Colorado Springs such a god forsaken dump, that we can't even get our share of doses? I find the Health Departments explanation to be unacceptable! What happened to our allotment of vaccine? Why is there not even one single clinic for our high risk residents? Not to mention the the greedy, greedy, government here still wants more taxes, and can't even provide basic health care services for residents. Shame on You El Paso County!!

In the swine flu vaccine of the late 1970s, the government forced military to take it, claiming an epidemic was on the way and we found out later it was a lie the government used in order to use up its aging swine flu vaccine. The vaccine proved toxic to some people and killed others, particularly the elderly and the vaccine was also responsible for causing a permanent spinal disorder as well. How is the new vaccine safer than the old one? Why is the government not forth coming about the risks of the swine flu vaccine? Also, even in the worst plagues that ever reached civilization, such as the bubolic in Europe in 1350 that killed off a third of the population, (nothing like we have here) there were always a large number of people that were unaffected. Little focus is put on that. Not much money in it is one suspected reason, but it's too bad most people don't learn the natural mechanisms that discourage illness and bring about better health. http://waterremedy.net
